Structural Engineer II, Marine

🚢 We’re Hiring: Structural Engineer II | Vancouver, WA

Vigor Marine Group is seeking a Structural Engineer II to support vessel structural design, analysis, CNC lofting/nesting, and production integration for our Marine Fabrication programs.

What You’ll Do:

• Design vessel structures and produce models, drawings, and BOMs

• Perform structural analysis and CNC lofting/nesting

• Support fabrication and installation teams throughout construction

• Evaluate non-conformances and resolve structural engineering issues

• Coordinate with planners, weld engineers, and production leads

• Ensure compliance with ABS, USCG, NAVSEA, AISC, CFR, ABYC, IEEE and other standards

• Support weight, stability, and structural integration assessments

• Participate in sea trials and support estimators during project planning

What You Bring:

• BS in an engineering discipline required; Bachelors in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering preferred

• Ship Constructor experience preferred

• Familiarity with ABS standards

• Five (5) years of marine experience required; vessel design and construction experience preferred

• Experience with CFR, Classing Society rules, ABYC, IEEE, and military contracts preferred

• Strong skills in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino

• Ability to solve complex structural issues in a shipyard production environment

• Excellent documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills

Pay: $112K–$122K
