Small Boat Captain - UAE

Six Maritime is looking to connect with a very specific type of maritime professional for an upcoming overseas assignment in the United Arab Emirates.

We are seeking experienced Small Boat Captains who bring more to the table than vessel operation alone. The ideal candidates will also have a strong mechanical background and be comfortable troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting small boat systems in the field.

This is a niche requirement and reflects the type of operational support Six Maritime is increasingly being asked to provide: experienced mariners who can operate independently, solve problems, maintain equipment, and support demanding maritime programs wherever the mission takes them.

Anticipated requirements include:

• Significant small boat operating experience
• Strong small boat maintenance / engineering background
• Ability to diagnose and address mechanical issues in the field
• Current or active SECRET security clearance
• Ability to deploy internationally for approximately 110 days
• Professionalism and the ability to operate with limited supervision in an overseas environment

The current requirement is expected to involve a two-captain team supporting maritime operations in the UAE, with Six Maritime also providing the vessel supporting the effort.

We already have several strong candidates under consideration, but given how specialized this combination of qualifications is, and as our overseas maritime support continues to expand, we would like to identify additional qualified professionals interested in this type of work.
