A leading global offshore and marine engineering group is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering coordination on a major offshore construction and installation programme, based out of its Houston office.
You'll own topside and marine electrical design across the full project lifecycle: reviewing sub-contractor deliverables for compliance with contract, classification and local authority requirements, coordinating procurement and vendor management, and providing technical leadership through design, construction and commissioning.
What you'll do:
- Lead electrical engineering coordination and planning across a multi-disciplinary FPU programme
- Review topside and marine electrical deliverables (single line diagrams, load balance, cable schedules, hazardous-area plans) for compliance with contract, classification and regulatory requirements
- Act as lead representative in technical meetings, HAZID/HAZOP/E-HAZOP and Electrical FMEA workshops
- Manage procurement engineering, vendor selection and vendor FAT participation
- Own cost and manhour control across the electrical scope
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (mandatory)
- 8+ years in engineering coordination with a strong electrical design focus, ideally on FPU or offshore projects
- Familiarity with USCG requirements
- Strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work at pace in a fast-moving project environment
