Marathon Mermaid and Morada Mermaid are locally owned and operated snorkeling, sandbar, and sunset charter companies in the beautiful Florida Keys. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and fun.

We're looking for an energetic, dependable, and outgoing First Mate who enjoys working outdoors, loves the ocean, and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain with the safe operation of the vessel.
• Welcome guests and provide outstanding customer service throughout the trip.
• Help guests with snorkeling equipment and safely assist them in and out of the water.
• Set up, clean, and organize snorkeling gear, paddleboards, kayaks, floats, and other equipment.
• Serve complimentary beverages and snacks.
• Assist with docking, anchoring, line handling, and vessel cleanup.
• Keep the boat clean, organized, and guest-ready before and after every excursion.
• Maintain a fun, positive, and professional atmosphere onboard.
• Follow all company safety policies and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Comfortable working outdoors in the Florida heat and on the water.
• Able to swim confidently and assist guests in the water.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous boating, hospitality, scuba, snorkeling, fishing, or tourism experience is a plus but not required.
