Deckhand – Seasonal (Sainte Genevieve Riverboat) Ottawa, IL

The Sainte Genevieve Riverboat is seeking dependable, personable Deckhands to join our crew for the 2026 season. If you enjoy being on the water, working with the public, and creating a welcoming experience for guests, we’d love to meet you.

Position Overview: Deckhands are an important part of both vessel operations and the guest experience. This role blends light deck duties with guest interaction in a unique, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with docking, line handling, and general vessel operations
• Welcome guests and assist with boarding and disembarking
• Support onboard events with setup and light service assistance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment
• Help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all passengers

Qualifications:

• Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be dependable and team-oriented
• Must comply with federal transportation regulations, including required drug testing
