Duties
- Assist with rigging operations, including setting up and maintaining sails, lines, and other equipment to ensure vessel stability and safety
- Support the captain and crew with mechanical tasks such as engine checks, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance
- Prepare and serve meals or snacks for guests and crew, maintaining high standards of hospitality and cleanliness
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout the voyage
- Help with safety drills, emergency procedures, and safety equipment inspections to uphold safety protocols
- Perform general deck duties such as cleaning, organizing supplies, and assisting with docking procedures
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive onboard atmosphere
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in rigging or maritime operations is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with engine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong customer service skills combined with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Hospitality experience or background in food preparation is a plus but not mandatory
- Valid certifications in safety or maritime operations are advantageous; willingness to obtain necessary certifications before start date
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences
