About Us:
We are a private charter boat company based in Newport Harbor. We are currently seeking a part-time crew member for the summer to join our team! Very generous tips. The boat, Temma is a 42’ single engine wooden motor yacht. The crew member onboard would work with the captain to bring the boat in and off the dock and then tend to the guests: serving drinks and cocktails, food etc. and sharing historical tour information about area. The Boat operates out of Fort Adam’s in Newport, RI and runs 8-12 hours per day.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the captain with the safe operation of the vessel
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests
- Must be comfortable on the water and in social situations as much of the tour experience is your entertainment with guests!
- Prepare the boat for departures and arrivals, including cleaning and stocking supplies
- Ensure the safety and well being of passengers
- Serve food and drinks to guests & have basic bartending skills
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to work weekends and some holidays as those are our most popular days!
- Must be an enthusiastic & friendly person who can entertain all kinds of guests from families to bride. & groom, to bachelorette parties! We have guests who want to just hang out and sip cocktails but also people who want more of a detailed history tour on the water!
- Be able to think & work safely on the water
- Mate and Deckhand positions are governed by USCG Safety standards and require enrollment in a drug testing program.
