Duties

• Assist with boat handling, docking, and mooring operations to ensure safe vessel movement
• Perform routine maintenance on water transportation equipment, including cleaning, repairs, and inspections
• Support crew members with rigging, rope handling at sea, and mechanical work on vessels
• Follow strict maritime safety procedures, including firefighting protocols and first aid responses
• Operate cranes and other water transportation machinery in compliance with US Coast Guard (USCG) regulations
• Maintain vessel cleanliness and oversee water transportation industry standards for safety and operational efficiency
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers and ensuring their safety during transit

Experience

• Prior water transportation industry experience or similar maritime roles preferred
• Knowledge of vessel maintenance, mechanical systems, and boat handling techniques required
• Familiarity with USCG regulations and maritime safety procedures essential
• Hands-on experience with crane operation, rigging, rope handling at sea, firefighting, CPR, and first aid certifications highly desirable
• Strong communication skills for effective maritime crew coordination and customer interaction
• Ability to perform mechanical work related to commercial ships and water transportation equipment maintenance
• Experience in hospitality or cooking is a plus for supporting onboard guest services
