Job Description
- Assist with maintenance and overhauls of US Government owned vessels under supervision of lead Port Engineer.
- Assist with fleet special projects such as TRANSALT development.
- Monitor and analyze all aspects of ship performance.
- Support the Integrated Management System documentation, implementation, maintenance, and improvement.
- Assist with marine engineering projects including overhauls, maintenance, and repairs.
- Prepare contract work specifications and cost estimates for ship repair, overhaul, or construction.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and vessel management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one-year experience as a Port Engineer managing shipyard dry-docking availability valued at least three million dollars.
- Minimum of three years shipboard engineering experience on Government or commercial ocean-going ships of not less than 4,000 HP as Chief Engineer, First Assistant, or Second Assistant Engineer.
- Minimum of five years combination of education and experience including engineering degree and shipyard management or Port Engineer roles.
- US citizen with active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
- Preferred: USCG 2nd Assistant Engineers license or higher.
