We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical knowledge and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to provide excellent customer service. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various marine vessels and equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines and systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using precision measuring instruments and tools.
- Utilize power tools effectively for repairs and installations.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as necessary to move equipment or parts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their marine needs.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Follow safety protocols while working in a marine environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to marine systems and vehicles.
- Proficiency in using calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
- Experience as a service technician, preferably in the marine industry.
- Ability to solder electrical connections as needed for repairs.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques for handling equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Competence in vehicle maintenance practices relevant to marine applications.
