Deckhand

CruiseRI is seeking a hardworking and reliable Deckhand to assist with vessel operations, and general deck duties. Responsibilities include handling lines, cleaning, assisting with docking, and ensuring safety of passengers. Must have a strong work ethic, and be comfortable working in various weather conditions. Previous maritime experience is a plus. Must be a team player.

Job Requirements:

• Must be TIPs certified
• Previous deck experience is a plus
• Knowledge of the local Newport and Jamestown area is a plus
• Must have great customer service and communication skills
• Must have a background with line handling and should have experience previously working onboard passenger vessels.
• Employees will be enrolled in a random drug testing program which will require pre-employment drug testing and random testing throughout the season
• Willingness to learn is a plus
