Job Summary
Suncoast Captains & Crew is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Deckhand to join our team in the Tampa Bay area. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow within the yachting industry while working on a variety of vessels.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed topside boat washes (teak, brightwork, windows, stainless)
- Clean engine rooms and sea-strainers
- Assist with basic mechanical and electrical tasks (ex: check/replace bilge pump)
- Maintain vessels to impeccable yachting standards
- Communicate professionally with boat owners and crew
- Adapt to changing schedules
Strong performance may lead to opportunities to join offshore trips.
Requirements
- Experience in the boating/marine industry
- Basic mechanical & electrical skills or understanding
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat
- Physically capable of demanding labor
- Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to start entry level and grow within the industry
