Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Deckhand to join our team on our whale watching trips. As a Deckhand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our vessel. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the maritime industry and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and painting the deck, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety measures are in place
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Deckhand or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for passengers
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from superiors
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions
-Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random quarterly drug screens
-Must be able to pass a federal background check (Must get a TWIC card within 14 days of hire)
-Must be able to work holidays, weekends and evenenings
