**Essential Functions:**Diagnose, adjust and overhaul of marine machinery on all vessels and equipment operated by FICA. Maintain preventive maintenance protocol to ensure optimum fleet operation.
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive and routine maintenance on all vessels, trolleys, ramps and any other marine related equipment.
- Perform in house repairs on main engines, generators, electrical, hydraulic and air systems.
- Respond to equipment casualties and determine strategy for repair
- Follow established preventive maintenance schedules and procedures
- Present professional attire at all times
- Maintain proper documentation of all maintenance, repairs and observations
- Comply with all Fisher Island standards, policies and procedures.
- Supervise and teach other mechanics with the operation needs.
- Communicate (read, write, speak) professionally
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Maintain working areas clean.
Education/ Skills/ Work Experience Required
- High School Diploma and trade school certificates
- (5) years of experience with Marine diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Excellent communication skills (speak, read, write English)
- Ability to multitask and work a flexible schedule
- Valid Driver License
