Job Description
Danversport Marina is seeking a hard-working, motivated, and detail-oriented Marine Mechanic to join our team!
The ideal candidate has prior experience as a mechanic, a great attitude, and a strong work ethic. Danversport Marina’s Marine Mechanics are responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine vessels and related systems. This includes outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines, as well as onboard systems as equipped. The exact type of projects assigned to the candidate will be dependent on the candidate’s skills, experience, and interests.

We offer a modern, well-maintained facility with state-of-the-art equipment, heated indoor workshops and individual golf carts for transport around the facility and to dock ramps. Danversport Marina is a full-service repair shop and is a licensed dealer for Yamaha, Mercury, Mercruiser, Cummins, and Yanmar, just to name a few of our lines. Duties and Responsibilities
· Service outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines (gasoline and/or diesel)
· Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vessels and their onboard systems
· Work collaboratively with our crew of marine service technicians to meet deadlines and service standards
· Maintain a clean workspace
· Maintain factory certifications as well as pursuing new certifications
· Follow all safety, environmental, and marina procedures
· Occasionally travel to off-site jobs
Qualifications
· Minimum five years’ experience working gas, I/O, or diesel inboards
· A valid driver’s license
· Factory training and certifications (preferred but not required)
About Danversport Marina:
Danversport Marina is a complete marine facility open to the public for slips, storage, service, and sales. Family owned since 1970, the marina has expanded across two peninsulas, covering over 35 acres. We are home to a 6,200 square feet Scout Boats Showroom, a complete service center with master-level certified mechanics, slips to accommodate up to 305 vessels from 18’-55’ long, and winter storage for 400+ vessels.
