Overview:
We are seeking a Marine Mechanic to join our team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing marine vessels. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and expertise in marine systems.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on marine vessels
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, electrical systems, and navigation equipment
- Assemble and install new parts and equipment
- Conduct sea trials to ensure proper functionality of repaired or serviced vessels
- Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns
-Must we willing to learn to operate a marine forklift to haul and launch boats(on the job training available)
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Marine Technician or similar role preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge (marine systems and components preferred)
- Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals
- Ability to solder and perform electrical repairs
- Proficient in vehicle maintenance techniques applicable to marine vessels
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
