Role Summary
RINA is seeking a recent Electrical Engineering graduate with marine electrical engineering internship or co-op experience to support the design and analysis of marine electrical power systems. This entry-level role offers hands-on project experience, mentorship, and exposure to marine industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers with electrical power system design, calculations, and analysis for marine vessels.
- Assist in developing electrical schematics, layouts, and single-line diagrams using CAD tools.
- Support evaluation and selection of marine electrical components (generators, transformers, switchgear).
- Assist with power system modeling, simulations, and performance analysis.
- Prepare technical documentation, including calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with marine standards and classification society rules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (recent graduate preferred).
- Marine electrical engineering internship or co-op experience required.
- Basic knowledge of electrical power systems and components.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics and CAD software.
- Exposure to power system analysis or simulation tools.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $61,681.97 - $74,283.66 per year
