Talon Marine Services has an opening for a full time experienced Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine systems and equipment, demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various mechanical and electrical components. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, maintenance, and fabrication of marine vessels, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and guidance for staffed marine technicians.
- Coordination of work flow/scheduling.
- Assist other technicians in problem solving/trouble shooting skills.
- Troubleshoot/repair of boats & motors for customers, dealer stock, and warranty
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Installation of electronics/accessories and troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Fabricate components using starboard and other materials as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Assist in putting together customer work orders/estimates.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to the rigging of boats or equipment during repairs or maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be a team player.
Qualifications
- Leadership skills.
- Proven experience as a Marine Technician with Suzuki and Yamaha Outbards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely as required by the job duties.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and customers.
