StarLite Cruises is looking for a motivated and dependable Mate/Deckhand to join our team aboard Tiki Island Cruises our Island Explorer vessels. This is a hands-on, team-oriented position ideal for someone who enjoys working on the water, providing excellent guest experiences, and contributing to the smooth operation of our vessels. No marine experience is required, we will be happy to train on the job.
Job Responsibilities:
Island Explorer Vessels:
- Act as a customer service-focused mate
- Interact with guests and assist with boarding
- Help facilitate tours and on-board experiences
- Provide information and ensure guest safety
- Routine vessel maintenance
- Opportunity to earn tips for excellent service
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Previous maritime or deckhand experience preferred but not required
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Willingness to learn, take direction and be a self-starter
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- This position requires a Department of Transportation pre-employment and random drug screening which includes Marijuana to qualify and remain employed.
