We’re hiring a reliable, hardworking Lead Deckhand to join our fast-paced residential marine construction crew. Immediate start.Key Responsibilities
- Lead deck operations on barges, small vessels and workboats
- Assist with setting, securing, and recovering marine construction materials and equipment
- Follow safety procedures around water, vessels, and job sites
- Coordinate crew tasks, rigging, and line handling
- Perform rough carpentry, deck carpentry, and general on-site labor
- Tow and unhitch trailers as needed
- Maintain tools, lines, and basic vessel/boat upkeep
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the saltwater environment, tides, and currents
- Experience running small vessels/boats
- Proficient with basic knots and line handling
- Rough carpentry skills
- Comfortable towing and pulling trailers
- Good physical condition; able to lift 80 lbs regularly
- Reliable, punctual, and able to lead by example
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience operating heavy equipment (excavator, skid steer, etc.)
