Duties
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair marine engines, propulsion systems, and auxiliary equipment using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections to prevent breakdowns
- Conduct electrical repairs involving soldering, wiring diagrams, and electrical troubleshooting to ensure all systems operate safely
- Assist with vessel assembly, disassembly, and rigging operations for maintenance or upgrades
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols during maintenance activities
- Maintain detailed service records, schematics diagrams, and maintenance logs for each vessel
Experience
- Proven service technician experience in marine or heavy machinery environments with a strong mechanical background
- Military experience in technical or mechanical roles is highly valued for its discipline and technical training
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, assembly work, sheet metal fabrication, soldering, and rigging is preferred
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments
- Customer service skills are essential for communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repair procedures
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
