- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on marine engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct routine maintenance including fluid changes, belt replacements, and system calibrations to keep vessels in top condition
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments (such as calipers), and welding equipment for fabrication, assembly, and repairs
- Interpret schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot wiring issues; solder connections as needed for secure electrical repairs
- Rigging operations including lifting heavy components safely using rigging techniques; heavy lifting required regularly
- Fabricate sheet metal parts or custom components to meet specific vessel requirements; perform welding tasks with precision
- Use ohmmeters and other electrical testing tools to diagnose electrical faults; perform soldering for circuit repairs
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks related to marine transport equipment; support customer service efforts by providing technical advice when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance logs, and safety inspections in compliance with company standards
- Proven service technician experience in marine (inboard/ outboard and waverunner).
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working on engines, propulsion systems, or similar machinery
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with rigging, fabrication, welding (including sheet metal work), and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Military background or training is a plus for discipline and technical skill development
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities to explain technical issues clearly
