- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical components, and hull structures.
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems accurately.
- Conduct rigging, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly tasks to repair or upgrade vessel components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering equipment, and precision measuring instruments to execute maintenance tasks with high accuracy.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete maintenance logs, and document repairs for quality assurance.
- Assist with heavy lifting operations using appropriate equipment to handle large parts or vessel components safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with the work performed.
- Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic in marine or vehicle maintenance environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical systems, schematics reading, welding (including heavy-duty welding), and fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with military-grade equipment or experience working in military settings is a plus.
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, soldering irons, calipers, ohmmeters (electrical testing devices), and other precision instruments effectively.
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, rigging procedures, and the use of heavy lifting equipment is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly and work in outdoor marine environments comfortably.
