Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Marine Port Engineer to handle maintenance, repair & operational readiness of our fleet of commercial vessels. This role is ideal for someone with strong marine mechanical experience who enjoys solving problems, working with crews & managing vessel repairs. You will work directly with our other Port Engineers, vessel crews & shipyards & vendors to ensure our vessels stay safe, reliable & operational ready. If you have experience with marine diesels, preferably Volvo Penta, Detroit, MTU, Aluminum Welding & fitting experience, this is an excellent opportunity to take pride in our fleet.

Physical Demands
Technician roles are physically demanding and require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more) may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the Technician will frequently use hands to manipulate and grasp objects; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, or twist to perform repairs and inspections. Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. A technician may work in areas with temperature and/or humidity extremes.
Requirements
All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment & random DOT Drug testing required by USCG. Hourly rate based on experience, bi-weekly pay, direct deposit. Applicants must have reliable transportation, show up on time & be ready to work upon arrival. Applicants must be willing to work nights & or weekends in the event crucial repairs are needed.
