Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical components, and UTVs using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safety standards are met and equipment operates efficiently.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to execute repairs with accuracy.
- Interpret schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and wiring issues.
- Engage in fabrication and rigging tasks such as sheet metal work, welding, and assembly to modify or repair equipment as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports; communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
- Assist with heavy lifting and physical tasks involving the handling of large components or equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven service technician experience with marine engines or UTVs; mechanic experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, calipers, soldering tools, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams; electrical experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, fabrication work (including sheet metal), rigging, welding (including oxy-acetylene), soldering, and use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with military standards or experience working in military environments is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform maintenance tasks in various outdoor conditions.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for marine vessels and UTVs; familiarity with vehicle assembly is advantageous.
