Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Shore Tankerman to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for safely conducting liquid cargo transfers between vessels and shore facilities. This position offers the opportunity to build valuable skills in a fast-paced, safety-critical maritime environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with rigging hoses, pipelines, and transfer equipment
- Safely operate mechanical systems during loading and unloading operations
- Perform pre-transfer safety checks and inspections to ensure compliance
- Coordinate with vessel crews, terminals, and team members to execute transfers efficiently
- Maintain accurate documentation, including transfer logs and safety records
- Provide professional customer service during all operations
- Follow all safety procedures and respond appropriately to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Experience or training in rigging and/or mechanical systems preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
- Professional, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Maritime or safety certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and efficiency
