Deckhand / Piling Crew Member - Marine Construction (Seawalls & Docks)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Deckhand/ Piling Crew Member to assist with marine construction operations on a barge. This position works directly with the crane operator and crew to install pilings, build seawalls, and complete waterfront construction projects.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding role requiring prior experience with piling installation and marine construction.

Responsibilities

• Assist crane operator with driving pilings (wood, concrete, steel)
• Handle rigging, chokers, cables, and tag lines safely
• Set up and maintain barge equipment and materials
• Cut, measure, and position pilings accurately
• Assist with seawall, dock, and marine structure construction
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on barge and job site
• Follow all safety procedures and communicate effectively with crew

Experience

• MUST have prior piling experience (seawall, dock, or maine construction)
• Experience working on a barge with crane operations
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor marine settings while maintaining safety standards
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude to foster teamwork and customer interactions
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
