Watermark is seeking reliable and service-oriented Crew Members to assist Captains in ensuring passenger safety and vessel operations across our fleet of six cruise vessels. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests during tours and charters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety & Operations
- Assist Captain with safe vessel operations and passenger monitoring
- Conduct passenger counts and report to Captain upon departure
- Demonstrate proper use of Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) and safety equipment
- Monitor decks continuously for hazards, spills, or passenger needs
- Assist with line handling during docking and departure procedures
- Understand and respond to Captain's commands during vessel operations
Guest Services
- Greet and count passengers during boarding/disembarkage
- Actively circulate through all decks to assist guests (never stationary or behind bar)
- Help guests with questions, directions, photo requests, and carrying items
- Apply 10 & 5 Rule: make eye contact at 10 feet, engage in conversation at 5 feet
- Ensure gates remain closed when not positioned at gangway
- Thank guests as they disembark
Vessel Maintenance
- Ensure vessel is spotless before guest boarding using pre-cruise checklist
- Monitor and maintain restroom cleanliness throughout cruise
- Clear trash, wipe tables, and arrange chairs between tours
- Complete post-cruise checklist including thorough cleaning and securing vessel
- Report lost and found items to Operations Manager
- Fill water tanks and prepare vessel for next departure
REQUIREMENTS
- Punctual and reliable attendance
- Professional and polite demeanor with guests and coworkers
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from Captain and Operations Manager
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings
- Must complete required training (we provide): C3ST (one-time), annual REP, and Crew Day
Work Environment
- Outdoor/indoor work on cruise vessels in various weather conditions
- Reports to Captain while underway and Operations Manager
- Team-oriented environment requiring coordination with Captain, fellow Crew, and Bartenders
- Must work on opposite decks from other crew members to ensure full vessel coverage

- Crew Level 2: Upon completion of practical tasks and educational videos
- Mate 1: For senior crew providing consistent valuable contributions
- Mate 2: First Mates on our larger vessel (appointed as needed)
