In this energetic role, you’ll assist with the daily maintenance and operation of our vessels, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency on board. You’ll have the opportunity to develop hands-on skills in rigging, mechanical systems, and hospitality, all while contributing to memorable customer experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all pre-shift duties, including preparing the vessel for departure, completing safety checks, and cleaning assigned areas
- Assist with boarding and disembarking passengers in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
- Carry out in-shift responsibilities, including maintaining cleanliness, assisting guests, seating guests for dinner cruises, supporting overall vessel operations, and keeping up with logs
- Assist with basic onboard tasks, including hospitality support or food service as needed
- Complete all post-shift duties, including cleaning and securing the vessel after each cruise
- Follow all safety procedures and assist in emergency situations when required
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card
- Basic knowledge of rigging techniques and mechanical systems on boats is preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues quickly
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures, including emergency protocols and lifesaving techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous maritime or related experience is a plus, but not required
- Interest in food service or hospitality is a plus
- Enthusiasm for working on the water and being part of a guest-focused environment
