Duties
- Assist with all aspects of vessel operation, including navigation, docking, and anchoring procedures
- Perform rigging tasks such as setting lines, and safety equipment to ensure
- Conduct routine mechanical inspections and maintenance to keep the vessel in top condition
- Support guest services by providing a welcoming atmosphere, answering questions, and ensuring their safety onboard
- Prepare and serve snacks as needed, demonstrating hospitality and culinary skills
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deck and interior spaces to uphold safety standards
- Assist with emergency procedures, safety drills, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations
Experience
- Prior experience working on boats or ships is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate and basic mechanical systems on vessels
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Experience in hospitality or food service is a plus, showcasing your ability to serve guests effectively
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and emergency response procedures in maritime settings
