Job Summary
We are seeking 2 marine mechanics. - One seasoned skilled Marine Boat Mechanic would be great, as well looking to give a fantastic opportunity to a young aggressive wanting a great career opportunity to learn and be anchored down at. Preferably Yamaha certified but not required, we will pay for certification to be completed for our mechanics. Must have Boat Marine experience or able to prove you can do the job, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of marine vessels. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills, with experience working on boats, vehicles, or heavy machinery. This role requires attention to detail, customer service orientation, and the ability to work with precision tools and schematics to ensure optimal vessel performance and safety. Duties
- Diagnose and repair marine engine systems, electrical components, and mechanical parts using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance on boats including engine servicing, rigging, and sheet metal work
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and precision measuring instruments for repairs and fabrication tasks
- Conduct heavy lifting and assist with the assembly of boat components or accessories
- Utilize ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices to troubleshoot wiring issues
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed using welding, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with a focus on marine vessels or similar equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience and schematics interpretation skills
- Experience with rigging, welding, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices is a plus
- Experience working with military-grade equipment or in a military setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of soldering techniques and sheet metal work preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for precision repairs
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vessel needs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
