The Role
Atlantic Wind Transfers is seeking a Senior Deckhand / AB to join our offshore wind Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) operations based in Quonset Point, RI. This is a full-time, non-rotational position—candidates must be based locally or willing to relocate. Housing is not provided.
As Senior Deckhand, you'll play a critical role onboard, supporting the Captain in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the vessel. This is a hands-on position requiring strong seamanship, mechanical awareness, and the ability to lead and support crew in a dynamic offshore environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Captain with safe vessel operations during crew transfer missions
- Support and help lead deck crew in daily onboard tasks
- Perform routine vessel maintenance and upkeep
- Ensure compliance with all company safety, security, and operational procedures
- Assist with the safe transfer of offshore personnel to and from wind farm structures
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the vessel
- Contribute to a strong, team-oriented onboard culture
What We're Looking For
- STCW Basic Training required
- Valid TWIC card
- Strong seamanship and situational awareness
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, offshore environment
- Positive attitude and strong team mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
