- Perform comprehensive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on marine vessels, including engines, hulls, electrical systems, and rigging components.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters, and welding equipment to execute repairs with accuracy.
- Conduct fabrication and assembly tasks involving sheet metal work, welding, soldering, and heavy lifting to modify or build components as needed.
- Diagnose electrical problems using electrical experience and tools; repair or replace wiring harnesses, switches, sensors, and other electrical parts.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repair activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Support customer service efforts by communicating repair status clearly and providing recommendations for ongoing maintenance or upgrades.
- Proven service technician experience with marine or vehicle maintenance; familiarity with marine-specific systems is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience reading schematics and technical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems, soldering techniques, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and rigging operations.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or repair tasks.
- Military background or technical training in related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
