Responsibilities
- Manage lines and cables to secure crane rigs to and from barges/vessels
- Conduct inspections of cables and rigging components on the crane deck
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Provide directional signals to crane operators
- Lubricate crane buckets
- Assist in drafting barges
- Operate barge covers
- Perform general rigging and shifting of barges
- Ensure cleanliness and safety standards on decks, barges, and ship holds
- Work with hand tools
- Perform painting and general upkeep of the crane rig
- Maintain crane shack/quarters
- Report incidents through companys reporting protocol
- Support company safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Knowledge of crane operations and maintenance preferred
- Experience with hand tools
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
