Join our team at The Boat Shop, a leading provider of marine repair and maintenance services for boaters in North Georgia. We specialize in servicing a diverse range of marine vessels, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. As a Marine Technician with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various marine equipment to ensure optimal performance on the water.
Your responsibilities will include diagnosing, repairing, and testing marine equipment such as engines, transmissions/drives, electrical systems, electronics, and hydraulic systems. You’ll also perform preventative maintenance on marine engines to ensure their longevity and reliability. Additionally, you’ll assemble and rig our inventory of new and used watercraft.
To effectively service and prepare for delivery, you’ll need to be a student who continuously familiarizes themselves with our inventory of new and used watercraft. You’ll also be responsible for entering and maintaining thorough records of service and repairs performed on the service computer.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Marine Mechanic is highly preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair boats efficiently are essential.
Proficiency in rigging new boats and handling boat trailers is crucial.
Capability to drive boats, dock boats, and launch boats safely is a must.
Experience using tractors for organizing boats on the lot is a plus.
Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are important.
Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment is a requirement.
