What You’ll Do
- Assist with safe loading and unloading of vehicles in all weather conditions
- Participate in U.S. Coast Guard safety drills (Fire, Man Overboard, Abandon Ship, etc.)
- Monitor vessel safety by patrolling for hazards and ensuring compliance with rules
- Provide excellent customer service while collecting and verifying tickets
- Handle documentation for vehicles carrying hazardous materials
- Maintain accurate passenger and vehicle counts
- Keep the vessel clean, safe, and operational (including seasonal tasks like snow removal)
- Report maintenance or safety issues to the Captain
What We’re Looking For
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong work ethic
- Customer-focused and comfortable working with the public
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Ability to work flexible hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card (we’ll guide you through it)
